Gemini Print Solutions approached us with a very clear plan: completely rebuild their website while maintaining a strong focus on SEO and improving the overall client experience.
Their original site had become slow, bulky and difficult to navigate. During the initial scoping phase, we found that years of legacy media had built up in the back end of the site, with more than 1,200 files stored across the website. This was having a significant impact on site performance, page speed and the overall client journey.
The initial audit confirmed the issue. On mobile, the original homepage scored just 51 for performance in Google PageSpeed Insights, with the Largest Contentful Paint taking 22.7 seconds. Lighthouse testing also showed a mobile performance score of 39, with a 12.1 second LCP and 1,190ms Total Blocking Time. GTmetrix gave the site a 72% performance score and 79% structure score, highlighting the need for a cleaner, faster and more efficient rebuild.
Our first priority was to simplify the site from the ground up. We carried out a full review of the existing structure, content and media library, identifying what needed to be retained, improved or removed completely. This allowed us to rebuild the website with a cleaner framework, stronger performance foundations and a much smoother user experience.
The new website was built in WordPress using Breakdance, giving Gemini Print Solutions a modern, flexible and easier-to-manage platform. We focused on creating a clearer layout, faster loading pages and a more intuitive journey for visitors exploring Gemini’s print services.
SEO remained a key part of the project throughout. Rather than simply replacing the old site with a new design, we reviewed the page structure, headings, metadata and content to help protect existing search visibility while giving the website a stronger technical base for future growth.
The difference after the rebuild was significant. The new site achieved a fully loaded time of 1.6 seconds and scored the highest possible marks across key testing platforms. In Google PageSpeed Insights, the homepage achieved 99 performance on mobile and 100 performance on desktop, with 0ms Total Blocking Time across both. Desktop testing showed a 0.6 second LCP and 0.3 second FCP, while mobile testing showed a 1.2 second FCP.
GTmetrix also showed a major improvement, with the rebuilt homepage scoring 96% performance, an A grade, 99% structure, 1 second LCP, 0ms Total Blocking Time and a 0.3 second First Contentful Paint.
